Souvenir de Quito is an electronic fixed media composition based around a recording taken in Quito, Ecuador of a folk music performance. The original recording features classic Ecuadorian sounds of the guitar and the pan flute, calling on the rich traditions held by those in the Andes region. Souvenir de Quito takes this recording as its base and adds a number of layers with the purpose of blurring the line between what is acoustic and what is electronic.
